1995 Illuminati Card Game Depicts World Trade Center Attacks

A 1995 edition of Steve Jackson’s Illuminati: New World Order card game, contains some pretty interesting coincidences. This collectible card game first released in 1982 was based on The Illuminatus! Trilogy novels by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson.

The trilogy written in the 1970s, consisted of books titled The Eye in the Pyramid, The Golden Apple, and Leviathan. The novels begin with an investigation by two New York detectives investigating the bombing of a leftist magazine. They slowly become drawn into a massive web of conspiracy. The book has been described as a violent drug, sex and magick filled tour through conspiracies real, historical and fictional.

The book links powerful secret societies to the assassinations of figures like John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr . Wars between secret societies such as the discordians and illuminati are taking place. The book depicts fantastic things such as hibernating Nazi battalions, human sacrifice at a European version of Woodstock, a single celled sea monster called The Leviathan and mass mind control just to name a few. At one point a secret U.S. government engineered mutated form of anthrax is even accidentally unleashed on the populace.  While far-flung and ridiculous many of the events and themes in the books are, many are strangely a reality today.

In 1981 Steve Jackson and a freelance cover artist he used regularly Dave Martin decided to create a card game in tribute to the Illuminatus Trilogy novels they shared admiration for. Jackson decided against adapting a game to the novel due to copyright problems. Instead he decided to make a game about The Illuminati using concepts and themes the novel also tapped into.

Illuminati: New World Order is a game of conspiracy and the objective is controlling the world through nefarious means. Illuminati players struggle for control of different groups such as the FBI, CIA, The Phone Company and even Dentists. Attacks like terrorist nukes, poisons, meteor strikes, tsunamis, and nuclear accidents to name a few are exchanged between players in an effort to eliminate eachother.  Illuminati goals like population reduction are randomly assigned to players as acheivements to pursue. The player to eliminate all the others wins.

While many of the cards in the Illuminati card game are eerily close to reality today, some are downright creepy and borderline prophetic.

In the rule book for the first expansion in 1983, the author of the Illuminatus! Trilogy Robert Shea actually provided a four paragraph introduction. In this introduction he wrote:

“Maybe the Illuminati are behind this game. They must be-they are, by definition, behind everything.”

Terrorist Nuke Card

terrorist nuke illuminati cardThe Terrorist Nuke card published in 1994-1995 is particularly creepy as it seems to accurately foretell and even visualize the attack on the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001. And to add to the strangeness is the cards function in the Illuminati game. The card’s description says:

Play this card at any time to give +10 Power or Resistance (your choice) to any Violent group you control.

So instead of being an attack the eerily foreshadowing Terrorist Nuke card is actually an event used to strengthen violent groups you control through what would have to be a false flag or staged terrorist attack within the Illuminati game.

At first the title Terrorist Nuke threw me off as not being very suggestive of what happened on 9/11. But when I thought about it, the card’s title and the image didn’t really match up either. What is depicted is not the typical nuke you would imagine with such a title. The nuke depicted in the picture would have to be a very small-scale and precise one made to do something like quickly and efficiently demolish a building.

There have even been suggestions by some engineers and 9/11 truthers that small nukes were in fact used to demolish the World Trade Center. This would actually explain how the explosions melted metal and so quickly and cleanly brought down the towers, and also why the debris stayed so hot and molten for so long afterward. Also the way that the steel and concrete shell of the towers were turned to dust could be explained by a micro-nuclear device being used.

No doubt the United States used the incident to strengthen their military, just like in the Illuminati game.

 The Pentagon Card

Another Illuminati card that eerily seems to foreshadow the events on September 11th 2001 is The Pentagon card. This is a “place” card that depicts an undamaged Pentagon with a large explosion in the middle. The description of the card says it allows each corporate group controlled by it to draw an extra “plot” card each turn. So the Pentagon is good for having Illuminati plots.

The picture does not mirror what exactly happened to The Pentagon on 9/11. But there is no way anyone could have really visualized exactly how that would look. I think what is important to note here is how The Pentagon despite the explosion seems to be intact and functioning just like it was despite the attack on it in 9/11.

The damage sustained by The Pentagon is in stark contrast of what happened to the World Trade Center that very same day. The towers crumbled perfectly to dust and molten metal due to airliners crashing into them. Yet The Pentagon was left with little more than a dramatic smoking hole in it.

While not quite as shocking as Terrorist Nuke, The Pentagon is definitely worth its mention here.

Other Cards

Santisima Muerte or Saint Death

There are many other interesting and strange cards in this card game. Many are coincidentally weird, or just strange by their own right. I did enjoy the art and concepts in this game and find looking through the countless cards in this game entertaining. I have put up many of these other cards, this is by no means all of them but a working example of some of them.

Who knows if there is anything to the coincidences here. It certainly is strange and makes you wonder.

  • You said the planes crashed into the towers. Actually this does not seem true because they were fake planes created by a hologram as cover for demolition explosives that actually brought down the towers. This fits into a lot of the theories about how the planes could not bring the towers down, but only explosives could have accomplished that.

Or some specific high energy device actually turned them to dust along with explosives, like Dr. Judy Wood’s postulates.
